Full description
Are you somebody who enjoys exploring solo and finding your own adventure? One of the best ways to get a firsthand perspective on Hawaii’s marine life is by renting a kayak. Seek the incredible as you kayak through the famous Kealakekua Bay. Paddle through shallow waters and access spots that often times are very difficult to get to by boat. We offer an unguided kayak rental that’s a great activity for the whole family.

The coastline of the Big Island drops off to very deep depths almost immediately offshore. This allows the kayaking trips here to do something that is not available on the other Hawaiian Islands. The deeper water offers perfect conditions for dolphins to rest, swim, and play. On this morning kayak, our guests often see wild Spinner dolphins frolicking about the Bay. Kayaking alongside these majestic creatures truly offers you and your loved ones an unforgettable experience.

Kealakekua Bay is a marine wildlife conservation, which ensures that the tropical fish and vibrant coral are able to thrive in these waters. This bay is located on the Kona coast of the island of Hawaii about 12 miles south of Kailua-Kona. Settled over a thousand years ago, the surrounding area contains many archaeological and historical sites such as religious temples, and Captain Cook's Monument; this makes for some of the best kayaking and snorkeling on the island!
