Full description
Experience an informative tour perfectly suited for the politically interested. Start at Pariser Platz in front of the Akademie der Künste next to Hotel Adlon. At the beginning of the tour, hear stories about the Brandenburg Gate, Pariser Platz and the embassies from your guide. Get ready for an entertaining experience and travel back in time.

See the impressive buildings of the parliament quarter along the banks of the Spree, while you stroll down the streets to the Reichstag. Marvel at the main studio of the German television station ARD, the Reichstagspräsidentenpalais, the work spaces of the politicians, the memorial to the victims of the Berlin Wall, the former course of the wall, the parliament library, the federal press conference building, some artworks around the Bundestag and the Republic Square from which the modern building of the German Chancellery can be seen. On this part of the tour with a length of 900 meters, you will learn a lot about the surroundings and history of the headquarter of the German parliament.

After this tour you will enjoy a free, unguided presentation in the plenary hall, with a seat under the dome. Learn more about the tasks and duties of the parliament as well as the story behind a building that has played such a significant role in German history. Please note that this is a political presentation in German, that will not be translated and requires very good German skills.

The viewing terrace and the glass dome are definitely the highlights of this tour. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the television tower, Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, Berlin cityhall, Potsdam Square, Tiergarten, the embassies, German Chancellery, main station, the domes of Gendarmenmarkt and the synagogue, Victory Column, City West and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Funkturm and others. When the tour is over, you may stay in the dome or on the viewing terrace and enjoy some free time.
Please note:

The building of the Reichstag may only be visited if all participants register for it prior to the activity. Please provide the following details for each participant: familiy name, name and date of birth. The visitor centre staff will only process requests when they include full, correct information.

Even after confirmation, your booking may be cancelled on site. If a tour is set to take place and the Bundestag cancels the visit to the dome on short notice, no refunds can be made.

Well organised trip with very experienced guide

First a multi langual guide that, even on his birthday, would lead the group of 14 in an enthousiatic way around the reichstag buildings. Gave a lot of background information on the surroundings. Second the professional german guide of reichstag explained in a detailed but still humoristic way the proceedings of reichstag employees. Lastly a walk around the rooftop and dome with splendid view over Berlin. Explanation with free audioguide multiple (also dutch) language. Good value for maney, to skip the line when free tours are already sold out.

Great tour!

We were able to book this tour very last minute and glad we did so. The tour takes you from the Brandenburg Gate, through the area around the Reichstag that houses the representatives and different ministries and then allows you access to the "Plenarsaal", the room where the German Bundestag meets. The grand finale of the tour was the hike up the glass dome of the Reichstag. Our tour guide was phenomenal and the information was well presented and fascinating. I had booked the tour in German, so I can't speak for the English speaking guides, but the content presented and the price makes this an experience you don't want to miss.
