It was an amazing experience however we only managed to see the important artifacts. Thank God for the Lonely Planet half day tour because we managed to see all the important artifacts in all musuems in just a day. If you want to see all the things in deteil, one must dedicate 3 days because the musuems are huge and full of artifacts. One must go to the Pergamon musuem first then Neus Musuem because there were long queues.

A Whole Day Event

We allocated 4 1/2 hours to this event, it wasn't enough time. Berlin has so much to see in a few days that we just couldn't justify a whole day in a 4 day trip, but would recommend adding an extra day to holiday for this event. Book a slot for Pergamon, recommend getting there for opening as they are busy and we avoided all queues. We managed to visit Neues museum and Alte Nationalgalerie but missed seeing the others. Maybe best to book tickets for a Thursday as opening hours are longer. Aside from the exhibits they are magnificent buildings .Facilities at museums very good and plenty of staff to answer questions and direct you. Pre booking was great value for money, easy and time saving.

We go there early on Saturday morning and were able to walk right in to the Pergamon Museum! The line was super long already for people waiting to purchase their tickets. Definitely buy ahead with Get your Guide for a fair price and no wasted precious time standing in line while on Holiday! Was an easy train ride from Zoologischer garten train station in West Germany, with a short pleasant stroll that takes you past two street Markets and a ton of places to eat and drink.
