Full description
After checking off central Berlin's must-see historical sights and classical museums, stop in at the exclusive location on Unter den Linden for some fun in the city's most unusual art gallery. Upon entering the museum, located between Museum Island and Brandenburg Gate, prepare to be greeted by a larger-than-life autobot, as well as a friendly staff who speak six different languages.

Off you go to enter the surreal universe of steel, created by 120 artists and craftsmen and perfected over 7,000 hours using only hand welders and their imagination. Inspired by dreams and memories, the over 50 towering auto-robots, luxurious cars, and cute animals invite you to get creative with photo-taking and to experience this world with your eyes and your hands.

Because this is no common art museum, where some exhibits are off limits, these steel beasts are made to be touched, sat in, and even cuddled. Spread out over two floors, take as much time as you'd like to choose your favorite figures and pose with them for photos. Throughout the experience, learn about how these figures were made, how a broken spark plug becomes a part of a proud warrior's armor, and how the museum staff managed to get 1.5 tons of car parts to the second floor.

In the presence of the sculptures, feel a wave of inspiration to give old things new life and to appreciate the precious material that surrounds us on a daily basis. Browse the gift shop, where designers have made one-of-a-kind jewelry from old clock parts, cogs and wheels, and pieces of scrap metal, as well as more figures from screws, spoons, and bolts. Finish your journey in the themed cafe, sit on alien stools, and let the baristas whip up your favorite hot drink.
