Full description
Meet your guide and your driver in Milan. Enjoy a comfortable 1-hour ride to Bergamo. Once in the town, you will get on the characteristic funicular railway and start discovering Bergamo Alta. Enjoy an incredible view over the lower part of Bergamo and its surroundings from the Venetian Works of Defence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continue to Piazza Vecchia, where you will find the Palazzo della Ragione, the highest Tower of Bergamo or 'Campanone', and Palazzo Nuovo. Your guide will then lead you to Piazza Duomo to visit the amazing Bergamo Cathedral, the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, and the Colleoni Chapel.

After a lunch break, your tour will continue around the picturesque alleys and squares that characterize Bergamo Alta. Pass by Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe, Piazza Mercato del Fieno, and the S. Francesco convent. Finally, you will get to admire a perfectly preserved ancient washhouse (Lavatoio). On your way back, ask the guide any questions that cross your mind or for tips about the rest of your stay.
