What people are saying about Bellevue Square, Zurich
It rained in the morning and the instructor Paul comforted me that weather would get better in the afternoon. It was sunny but not hot, with some breeze. We passed some scenic tourist areas. Most of the time, I am not able to join a segway tour in other European countries as I can't make up the minimum number of people to make a group. However, this City Segway Tour does public tour which is available on weekends. My tour guide Stephen is great. I am the only English speaking guest in this group of 7 people and Stephen took care of me on the whole tour. He gave clear instructions on use of Segway as well as explanations on the scenic places that we've been to. He did more than he should as a guide by asking the receptionist to grant me a special permission for the Museum and he also grabbed a booklet in English for me. Stephen, this is highly appreciated. Within the span of an hour and a half, Monica was able to weave an enchanting tale about the history of Zurich. As we climbed a hill to view the city center from above and crossed bridges above a glittering, azure lake, I learned so much not only about the city's history, but also its people. Because I also mentioned that I wanted to take pictures, Monica made sure to point out some really picturesque spots and even helped take photos of me. At the end of the tour, she advised me on which Swiss chocolates were best to take home as gifts and also helped me find the right tram number to take back to my hotel. This was truly one of the best walking tours I've joined with a considerate and knowledgeable guide. P.S. Thank you for the Swiss tea! It was lovely. <3
We were a group of 11, and Monica did a great job of giving us an overview of the foundations of the city and how it developed. Hearing about important revolutions, learning about the different guilds, and seeing the model of old Zürich gave us an interesting perspective on the old ways of life compared to the commercial, financial city of today. Monica was great at answering our questions, and you could feel her passion about the city, its history, and its architecture.
I would recommend this Segway Tour to everyone! My wife and I had never been on a Segway, but the instruction was excellent, and we became comfortable with it in just a few minutes!
I've seen all the relevant places and the guide knows what she's talking about. Inspiring and charming, and walking distance is not too long.
