Full description
Your first stop will be the site of the Battle of the Boyne, where you will discover the history behind the most important battle in Irish history. This battle was not important only for Ireland, but for all of Europe! You will watch a film outlining the background of the battle, and then take in the exhibition which includes a range of weapons which were used at the time.

From here, you will head directly to Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Your first stop will be the Queen's area, which gets its name from the famous Queen's University in the city. Here you will see famous university buildings, the city’s botanical gardens and the impressive Ulster Museum. In this museum, you will see more of Irish history, ranging from the Battle of the Boyne to the present day. There will also be time to have lunch whilst in this area.

In the afternoon, you will take a panoramic tour of Belfast. You will learn more about the turbulent history of the city, discover its famous murals, and observe the walls that still divide the two sides of the city. You will also observe the imposing building of the Parliament of Stormont, and you will stop in the Titanic district, where the famous ship was constructed. Finally, you will go to the center of the city where you will have time to see the famous City Hall. At the conclusion of your tour, you will head back to Dublin with a lot to think about after enjoying a full day of rich history.
