Louise, our guide, was incredibly inviting and informative throughout the entirety of our trip. We spent about three hours driving through beautiful countryside learning about New Zealand’s history, agriculture, and Maori culture. We went to both Wai o Tapu Geothermal Park and the geothermal park/Maori culture park at Te Puia. The former was beautiful, and Louise made sure we knew how these geothermal areas were used by the Maori. Te Puia was an amazing experience, as we were graciously invited to participate in a welcome ceremony and performance, and toured the on-site school that teaches traditional arts and culture to new generations. It was extremely interesting (and heartening) to learn about the Maori and see the work being done to preserve their traditions. Walking through the rest of the park, we even got to see a geyser erupt amidst the smoking craters and pools. The day was extremely memorable, and our guide was one of the most pleasant people we met.

The place was nice and great to have a walk around and take photos. The downside of the tour was that it was too short and too fast-paced so we didn't have enough time to take the photo as we needed to follow the group that we belong to. The tour guide's voice wasn't very loud so it was difficult to catch what he was saying. Other than that, it was nice and kids were also enjoyed.

We did not realise that the Hobbiton Movie set was so well set up. We were impressed from the time we arrived with the helpful reception staff to the great coffee, to the tour guide (Margot) and the bus driver. Well done! It is a great tourist attraction for New Zealand. Also the refreshments at the end. Thank you!

Maybe it was because my wife and daughter had seen the movies 20 times ( probably more).... but whatever the reason the tour was waited for with huge anticipation ... and delivered brilliantly . Charles was great, the stout very good and to see the shire was better than visiting Disneyland. Sorry we missed Peter.

Very good tour. Guide was nice and helpful, often offering to take group photos. Information was good, though perhaps a little scripted. The dark beer in the green dragon was pretty decent. Overall an enjoyable, professional experience that lived up to expectations.
