What people are saying about Bay of Plenty Region

Our guide was exceptional, our experience was memorable.

Louise, our guide, was incredibly inviting and informative throughout the entirety of our trip. We spent about three hours driving through beautiful countryside learning about New Zealand’s history, agriculture, and Maori culture. We went to both Wai o Tapu Geothermal Park and the geothermal park/Maori culture park at Te Puia. The former was beautiful, and Louise made sure we knew how these geothermal areas were used by the Maori. Te Puia was an amazing experience, as we were graciously invited to participate in a welcome ceremony and performance, and toured the on-site school that teaches traditional arts and culture to new generations. It was extremely interesting (and heartening) to learn about the Maori and see the work being done to preserve their traditions. Walking through the rest of the park, we even got to see a geyser erupt amidst the smoking craters and pools. The day was extremely memorable, and our guide was one of the most pleasant people we met.

Enjopyable days tour with good weather. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hobbiton Movie Set Shore Excursion from Tauranga Reviewed by Anonymous, 01/15/2019

Great tour, with unexpected expertise and advice

Had a great time(even though i sleep half the day, as i have been on the move for 20+days) Andrew was great , very very intune with New Zealand and its culture and true compas to the hidden gems that lye within. Cave was cute (been in bigger and much wetter) but the guide on the tour was fun and has the most amazing voice. Angels usually don’t walk with us , but she must be on loan. . Hobbition was as much fun if not more than my last visit in 2012. Guy was a great tour guide and I enjoyed the spark in his voice that even got my NOT LOTR FAN wife happy and enticed to ask more. Thanks to everyone that made this day great. PS its the little details that make any adventure more that expected and the ostrich and trubine side trips were fun. Spend a little time deciding how you are going to present them and everybody will love them. even though who cant stomach a suspension bridge.

Fantastic, fun, and completely unique trip.

The Rotorua Lakes Duck Tour was a fun ride. How often do you get to ride in a genuine WW2 amphibious landing craft, and drive around on the roads in the same vehicle? Shelley, our guide, was fun and entertaining, although her jokes are really groan-worthy (just kidding). The look on the face of a driver in the car next to us as we came back into town and 20+ idiots in a DUKW blasted out a cacophony of duck calls was priceless. The views of the lakes were great, both from the road, and from in the lakes themselves. Note to Shelley's boss: we had at least 100 cars and a family of snails backed up behind us going up the hill outside Rotorua.

It was very nice and I enjoyed very much. Rotorua is a wonderful city

First I was a bit scared that I was at the wrong meeting point, because no one was there. But then the bus came and everything was good. I enjoyed rotorua very much. I love the city even the smell isn’t the best. In the afternoon was my trip to hobbiton. It was also very nice and I enjoyed it as well it was just very sad that is was raining the hole time and it was very cold. I was very happy to do that trip with you. I would recommend this trip to everyone who wants to see rotorua and hobbiton it was just lovely even the weather wasn’t that good
