Full description
Embark on a guided tour of the southern city of Bari, famous for its bustling Old Town and traditional harbor. Meet your local guide at the Swabian Castle and begin your private tour with an overview of the fortress from the outside. Then, head straight to the Old Town, where you will meet the Italian nonnas who prepare fresh pasta by hand.

Later, visit the Cathedral of San Sabino, which was built between the 12th and 13th centuries. Then, explore the ruins of the Byzantine Basilica of San Nicola, a splendid example of Apulian Romanesque architecture, where Catholic worship meets Orthodox traditions.

During your tour, you will stop at regular intervals to sample some of the city's famed street food specialities. As you stroll through Bari's characteristic alleys, get the chance to meet the locals and taste sgagliozze, pieces of fried polenta, typical focaccia with tomatoes and a delicious plate of orecchiette pasta.
