What people are saying about Barcelona
This tour was excellent. I was in Barcelona for business, and my wife came with me to squeeze in a little vacation while we were there. The whole experience was well organized, and as foreigners who were worried about the language barrier, it was a relief to not be worried about where to go or what to do. The trip up to Montserrat was kept interesting by the guides who provided insightful and comedic commentary on the history of Barcelona and the region. The mountain and monastery were beautiful, and were well worth the trip outside the city. After the monastery, the three course lunch at the winery was excellent and provided a nice opportunity to chat with the other tourists from around the world. The wine tasting itself was wonderful, and we were very impressed with Albert's knowledge of not only the wines we tasted but of the entire wine-making process. If my wife and I get another opportunity to visit Barcelona, we will certainly try to do something again with this company!
Our guide, a local Catalan, Vicente, provided detailed, clear and interesting historical information about Girona, Pals and Costa Brava's traditional village, Caella. He was also very flexible to accommodate my husband's limited mobility by giving us the free time to explore Girona's famous landmark (church) where scenes from "The Games of Thrones" were filmed. Vicente's great sense of humor really made this tour superb! Our driver, Joaquin, was very cautious and made us all feel safe. I will definitely recommend this day excursion to my relatives and friends! Kudos to the duo, Vicente and Joaquin!
The tour was fantastic and one of the better ones I took over the years. plenty of time to see everything without being rush. The time in Montserrat was perfect. Our guide Stephen was fantastic. The lunch was at the end of the day and it was more like fantastic early dinner for the people that don't eat too late. Plenty of food, drinks and the location was behind amazing. The food options were so amazing that I will be going back to that place when in the area next time. So fresh and tasty!. Amazing wine and plenty of it !
Interesting trip. Best enjoyed by experienced kayakers. However there was very little marine life to see while snorkeling in a cove....just sea urchins and not much else. Water is pretty cool, so wetsuit is essential. Water clarity is ok, not great. Went out in early October, so weather may not be as great. Noon start time is probably better than the 8am tour. Great beach for windsurfing. Pickup location is at a bar with no signage for the kayak tour, which may confuse people looking
Left shortly after 8am on 30 passenger bus. Guide was good. One of first tour bus to make it to the top...and we hurried into the basilica to beat the crowd. After only have just enough time to do just two of potential three things on your own: Did not visit the museum. Took the funicular train to top instead. Also did not have time to visit audio visual. Back to barcelona by 1pm. enough time to do many other things.
