Full description
The Amatller House Museum, a key work of the architect Puig i Cadafalch, is one of the most exceptional buildings of modernist Catalan architecture in Barcelona and one of the most comprehensive house museums of Catalan Modernism. Amatller House Museum is an authentic hidden treasure in the heart of the city which conserves all of its splendor and the essence of the beginning of the century thanks to the existence of all of its original furniture and decoration, the fruit of extensive and careful restoration. It was designed in 1898 by the industrialist chocolatier Amatller Antoni, who had made his fortune by introducing industrial production methods into the family chocolate company Amatller Chocolates

Visit the Amatller House Museum without queueing with your priority entrance ticket and discover the beauty of this modernist work. At the beginning of the visit, a guide who is specialized in the history of art will be waiting for you at the ticket booth, which is located in the main entrance of the building, to accompany you through the lobby and the main staircase until you reach the remarkable noble floor, the home of the Amatller family.

During your visit, you will receive in-depth and detailed information about the historical context, the Amatller family and the architect Puig i Cadafalch, as well as getting to know and discover all of the elements of Catalan modernist architecture and the decoration and furniture in the house, all designed in the original style of the time.
