Full description
La Sagrada Familia is the great masterpiece of the architect Antonio Gaudí, and the best reflection of his artistic accomplishments. It is a great symbol of the city of Barcelona and the Catalan modernism that you cannot miss during your stay in Barcelona

Although its exterior is imposing and impressive, its interior marvels likewise. Therefore a guided visit to the Sagrada Familia is more than obligatory for anyone visiting Barcelona.

One of the great attractions of the Sagrada Familia, and one of the reasons why it is encouraged to visit it, is the so-called Museum of the Holy Family, which is located inside. The museum was inaugurated in 1961 in the semi-basement of the facade of the Passion, with the initial intention of grouping all the work of Gaudí to be able to continue his work.

Another of the things that you will be drawn to in your visit to the Sagrada Familia is its colorful stained-glass windows. Gaudí said that "the sun is the best painter", and here the sun bathes and paints the space of the temple, creating a rich and diverse atmosphere. Gaudí himself also left few indications as to the windows of the Holy Family, perhaps for being part of the final development of the work, but it did initiate an investigation about the stained glass that has been the basis of its further development. Joan Vila-Grau, the designer of the windows of the temple, has declared that each window is different and a unique work, although all together form a work of greater size.
