All transportation cards expired half way which seems like a frequent "bug" among buyers, as metro station employees who issued substitutes told us. Other than that, the most popular place of imterest (Sagrada Familia) should be included, even as a small discount if free is not possible. Visitors should be informed explicitly that not all transportations are included (eg. night bus lines N*).

I would recommend picking up your card at the airport upon arrival, finding a BCN redemption locations can be tricky, and not all of them are open hours that may be convenient for you. Also recommend printing our your purchase slip, rather than using the one on your phone display, they had issues validating mine using the booking code on my phone.

Barcelona card is worth it just for the free transportation alone, it plays for itself. We didn't use it for that many discounted or free admission options because of our itinerary. However, we used it for mixed modes of transportation everywhere we went and it was nice to be able to hop on and off without wearing about costs or payment cards. One transportation card for everything.
