Private tour covering a wonderful variety of temples and sites

About 12 hours before the tour, my partner and I managed to book it so very last minute. We were picked up punctually from our hotel by our guide (and driver) and were delighted to find that there weren't any other people on our tour so we had a 2 full days on our own with the guide, Say. We did this tour in April which was EXTREMELY hot and I would recommend choosing a different month to do the tour if possible. That said, we were provided with cold water throughout the day by the guide. This 2 day tour was amazing in terms of the number of temples we managed to see. Each had their own charm and differences. The lunches provided were very good. 2 or 3 days is what I would recommend. 1 day and you just scratch the surface. We did the sunrise view at Angkor Wat which was nice but not essential. There are so many people there at that time. We actually watched the sunrise from the water across from the temple. We had a great experience on this tour so highly recommend it.

Great experience with very knowledgeable guides!

Had two fantastic days in the Angkor Wat park! The guides were very knowledgeable (since they are required to have a bachelor's degree in history) and professional and spoke good English even if some words from time to time were hard to understand. What I didn't like was the fact that I would have gotten the same experience cheaper by not choosing the 2-day experience. I thought that if I choose the small group, 2 day experience I would get the same guide and the same group for both days (which was why I picked it) but this was not the case. Two days apparently meant two separate days with different guide and group and they also switched order of the intinery to fit it with how other people had booked. So the 2-day experience was more expensive and had no benefits at all compared to booking two separate experiences which together would have been the same as the 2-day one. Very bad I'd say, luckily the guides were at least good.

Overall really good but a few minor problems

All reviews talked about how great the guides English was but our was only ok. We heard others with much better English. On the first day the guide Thet, and driver took us 13 km to an overpriced restaurant with no other choices when we would have been much happier at stands or restaurants near the temples. The second day was great and for our last temple, we went to one that had not been renovated which was really interesting As a bonus, there was a gibbon family out playing so we got lots of pics (it was overcast but not raining, so cooler)

A very effective way to see these treasures!

Don't go to these sites by yourselves. Don't go with a large group. Go with a personal guide who can explain what you are seeing because there is so much to see and learn, that to experience this area any other way minimizes the impact. This three-day program was just about more than this 66-year-old woman could navigate, but I wouldn't have missed anything!

Amazing overview perfect for those short on time

I only had three full days in Siem Reap and this tour let me make the most of it. Not only did we see all of the major temples and quite a few minor ones, we travelled out to see the floating village and hiked up to see Kbal Spean. My guide was informative and personable and my driver was nothing short of professional.
