What people are saying about Bangkok

very convenient from my hotel, exciting experience

We booked hop on and off bus tour and boat tour together. Because of Bangkok's notorious traffic we didn't enjoy 3day's bus enough but the boat tour was quick and very efficient for us to take to our tour sight. So we bought the ticket again on our last day. All tour was exciting and the night view was amazing too. Just I wish the Boat Tour could have had more redeem places. I stayed in Khaosan Rd, however still cost me 150 Bht to get to Maharaj pier by tuktuk (We were ripped off by tuktuk driver. He left us Chang pier because we didn't understand him when he showed the entrance of Mahrarj pier, and we had to walk back upset)

Chao Phraya River: Hop-On Hop-Off Boat Pass Reviewed by Anonymous, 09/15/2019

Good food, beautiful views, great service.

I had read some reviews about other dinner cruises which complained about chaos at the harbor. Boarding at the Shangri-La Hotel was very smooth. The crew was pleasant and we had great service. The table we were given was outside, and we were lucky the temperature was good and it wasn’t raining. We noticed that many people prefer the interior of the boat, which has air conditioning. It worked for us that evening. The food was good, with many options. The desserts were very tasty. A very nice and quiet family evening, with amazing views.

Good food choices, good show, and nice views.

Our hotel pickup was late and after getting stuck in traffic, thought we wouldn't make it on time. We did albeit with only about five minutes to spare. The cruise itself is worth it - the temples and buildings along the river are lit up beautifully at night - not quite up to Shanghai standard but still a pleasant trip. The buffet was good and there was plenty of food so no need to rush up with the crowds. The show wasn't too bad either, the girl singing had a very good voice.

Small boat experience - much more civilised that the huge boats

We were so glad we had booked this cruise after having considered some of the larger boats. On seeing the huge boats with hundreds on board, it was a real pleasure to be limited to about 30 people. The food was EXCELLENT - in terms of variety, quality and quantity. Don't waste your time with the larger boats, we thoroughly enjoyed this part of our brief Bangkok stay.

Quite an enjoyable night with Chao Phraya River and water-front sights

Overall, it quite an enjoyable cruise in Chao Phraya River from welcoming music show near pier, to well-arranged dining table, to live music performance, to decent variety of buffet food as well as service hospitality. It will be much appreciated if there will be an offer to lower-deck guest can pay to upgrade to upper-deck if available before/after boarding.
