What people are saying about Bangkok

The location, guides and food are perfect and fun.

I was a bit late because my taxi dropped me off at the wrong place. Ofcourse i recommend to be on time but they extended the time instead of dropping a dish in the cooking class. That was really nice from them and we started with some explaination about what we were going to do that day. After that you get ready and the fun begins, you make fun recipes and also go for a market tour where i learned many things from! The people are very friendly and know what they are talking about. After completing a dish you taste ofcourse, so don’t go for a big breakfast before starting this class(that would be a waste for yourself). After the final dishes you sit together, compare everything and also talk and eat. I really enjoyed myself and recommend this class to everyone else who is interested in the Thai kitchen!

Markets were fun - day could be shortened!

The markets were really cool. We did also go to a coconut factory which wasn’t on the itinerary. It was fine but I think you should add that. Was also asked if I wanted a 2 hour Thai massage, to go elephant riding, etc. to drag out the day. I think you should just stick to the itinerary described and speed up the day. We ended up skipping the firefly boat tour because it wasn’t until 6:30pm and we would’ve had to wait around 2+ hours for that. Overall the guide and driver were fine and the experiences were great - the timing of everything was just very off!

Awesome, very different from everything!

We were told many times that the Damnoen Floating Market was “made for tourists” and was “not the real thing”. But as we found out that is great news!!! Just be aware of the shops on the non-floating part! You HAVE to do the boat ride in the market (THB 150/ person)! The floating part is very different from everything you have seen, it’s awesome. The train market is cool, but not something out of this world. If you miss the train time the market itself is sucky so there’s not much to see! The guide was great, very polite and professional.

The train and the guide were awsome but the floating markey awfull

The guide, Sara, was awsome ! She was kind, take care of everybody. A very good guide above expectation. The train market was very impressive, a good experiance and good products ( local people were there too ). But the floating market ..... Everything is made in china... Thirty minutes on the boat it’s lîe smoking three packets of cigarettes... I really recommand the forst part but not the second.

Quite good, much better than anticipated

I thought that this would be a sort of tourist trap, but both the train market and the floating market were quite interesting and worth the trip. A little touristy, but less than expected. The guide was very friendly and handled the schedule quite well. He showed up at the hotel on time and we stuck to the tour schedule. All in all a good experience, and well managed.
