Our guide was called Tan. He tried very hard and always made sure that nobody was lost. The organization was super and uncomplicated from start to finish, the air-conditioned bus trip with 36 degrees outside temperature was very pleasant. I hadn't read anything good about the floating market in advance. Yes, one should not expect floating boats where the goods are sold. It is much more so that the market is built on the water, but one goes over more wooden planks. We were there on a Sunday and there were mostly locals there, which did not confirm the picture of a tourist market. I don't find a hotel pick-up in Bangkok absolutely necessary, because you are well mobile by taxi, bus, train, tuk tuk and, in comparison, even save money if you look at what else is required for hotel pick-up. In terms of price, I think it's ok if you want to avoid negotiating with other providers.

Good experience even if it can be improved. I would leave half an hour before, a visit to the royal palace good, the boat ride between the market is decidedly mediocre, I would extend the time for lunch and purchases by at least half an hour. The floating market offers a lot and I think tourists would be happy to have more time available. Good visit to the other 2 temples

The temples in Ayutthaya were really impressive. Unfortunately, of course, quite crowded, but still very nice. Here you always had enough time to walk across the area yourself. The market was quite nice to try tasty little things, but the boat trip was a pure tourist scam and somehow ridiculous. You don't have to have that, as it's not a true floating market where goods are sold from the boat. You just drive in a circle once. Steer clear of the "Sitz-Restaurants", very very pushy and rude, because you can eat little things on the stands and try different things. The trip was quite relaxed, remember to cover your shoulders and knees, otherwise you won't be able to get into the Summer Palace. However, I found this the least exciting. The temples are worth it!
