This trip is absolutely worth it. Our tour was private, so it was just the two of us being driven around in a well-air conditioned car. The waterfalls are stunning. You can choose to go and see all 7 of them (walking up hill in high humidity can be quite a challenge to see the last few ones, and the path can be quite slipper - wear good water shoes), but don't worry if you don't fancy that - the first few waterfalls are all equally beautiful and not very challenging at all to get to. The water is nice and cool, a welcome refreshment from the heat/humidity with lots of fish swimming about. Some waterfalls you can slide down to the lake below. There are toilets around to get changed, some minor souvenir shops. Kwai Bridge, Buddha cave and railway ride also great. Our lunch was traditional Thai food (soup, sweet and sour chicken and some fruit). Last but not least he guide and the driver were great - well-informed and polite. Highest quality experience.
This Day involved seeing the Summer Palace and then a few of the older Temple sites and a modern Temple. The guide for the day - although informative spend a bit much time talking and explaining at the signs rather than letting us see the places. At the Summer Palace in particular a lot of people in the tour departed to see the place - it was extremely hot standing in the one place listening. Then a river cruise and a very nice lunch on the way back. I had been told to be there at 7am - which meant I left my hotel at 5.30 to avoid traffic. However we did not leave until well after 8am. So there was a lot of waiting around to get going. Maybe they could be a little clearer on the time the tour would actually leave as I could have enjoyed a bit more sleep and been better prepared for the day. Over all it was a good experience and enjoyable.
If you’re considering a floating market tour, look no further than Big Country Vacation in Bangkok for an unforgettable experience. We had the pleasure of having Sarah as our tour guide on this 6 hour tour to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Sarah is so knowledgeable, informative and most importantly she’s very kind and makes sure you feel taken care of during your tour. Initially I considered visiting Damnoen Saduak without a tour company, I am so glad I decided not to do that. This was my first time visiting Thailand and the knowledge Sarah has about Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and all the other landmarks you’ll pass on the way is priceless. If your visiting Thailand definitely add this tour to your list of things to do and hopefully you’ll also be able to experience this amazing tour and have Sarah as your tour guide!!
My guide Gang was very friendly and polite. She was very prompt when she picked me up at me hotel and had a Get Your Guide sign which helped me see who she was instantly. She showed me some temples and palaces on the way to Wat Bang Phra. We got there early enough for me to be the second person to receive the Sak Yant. The hole trip was about 4 hrs. 6am-10am. Make sure you have a snack with you.
Very good tour - well organised, got exactly what was promised. Nice balance between history, old capital and river cruise. Tour guide Donna was good, interesting information. Timings exactly as promised. Food on river cruise - average quality, good quantity/variety. Despite indifferent reviews from other customers the pick-up and return to hotel went exactly as planned.
