What people are saying about Bangkok
We went on this tour in February 2019. It was excellent. The guide, Mhom, was wonderful. She explained all about the ruins and she also added some personal information to help us understand the Thai people. This was exactly the type of tour we were looking for- one which concentrates on the sites and does not distract from the sites with boat rides or worst elephant rides. Having a hotel pick up was the fastest way to get to the sites and it worked flawlessly. We heard from other tourists who took the train and it took much longer than the short one hour air conditioned small van ride. Why not spend as much time as possible at the sites. Some of them were so peaceful to walk among them. The buffet restaurant was excellent and had a great variety of food. Mhom even explained a local food called roti, they made a short stop where we saw them making it and she bought a bag for each of us to try. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip-very informative!
The Best of Bangkok: Temples and Long Boat Tour with Lunch was the perfect tour for my first full day in the city. Ms. Aom was a wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable guide. Not only did she provide a personalized tour of all three major royal temple complexes, but she was full of information about the history of Thailand, the royal family, and the city of Bangkok. As a first-time visitor to the city, having a local guide to help navigate through the complex systems of transportation and commerce was comforting and educational. This tour provided a perfect mix of activities - from temples, to local food, to long-boat experiences on the Chao Phraya. Everything was well-organized and well-timed. I wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommend!
The trip was very well organised and punctual as well. We had no issue finding the meeting point for the pick-up. The trip lasted from 8 AM to 5 PM. Our guide, Siri, was very knowledgable and more than happy to answer any question the group had about Ayutthaya, Buddhism and Thai Culture. The trip was not rushed and we had enough time at each site. The lunch was very good and had a variety of options for all sorts of preferences.
The place is out of this world. The back-stories our guide told us were intriguing. Makes all the difference. Hats off to Siri for his impressive knowledge and his great teacher-like demeanor. Travel by air conditioned minivan was a bit long but well worth it. The 5 UNESCO sites tour we had made sure we didn’t miss out on any of the great temples that each had their own unique flair. Highly recommended!
Seriously, our guide's name was Siri. He had his talk, the things he wanted you to know, but was happy to answer questions on anything. He often responded with humor. He was good at estimating the amount of time you'd need to walk around. He offered to take pictures of you and we managed to get the picture that's sure to be our Christmas card this year. Would definitely recommend going to
