Experience

Highlights
  • Visit the stunning region often referred to as "Peru's Galapagos"
  • Watch collections of thousands of sea lions and penguins basking on Ballestas Island
  • Explore the otherworldly landscape of Paracas National Reserve
  • Gaze upon the ocean while standing in a stark desert
Full description
After a convenient hotel pickup from either Paracas or Pisco, head to the Marina Turistica to start your adventure. Board a speedboat with your bilingual, Spanish and English-speaking guide, and jet out onto the sea towards the stunning Ballestas. Along the way, stop at the Paracas Peninsula to see the Candelabro, an enigmatic glyph carved into the side of the island — whose purpose, and creator, remain a mystery to this day.

Afterwards, continue onwards towards the marine sanctuary of Ballestas. Gaze upon the rocky shores, filled to the brim with sunbathing seals, and penguins diving into the turbid waters to hunt underneath the surface — all alongside other beautiful specimens, like majestic pelicans, and colorful blue-footed boobies. You’ll then return to the Marina Turistica for a drive to Paracas National Reserve.

An almost alien landscape, the Paracas National Reserve is composed of vast, sprawling deserts and high sandstone cliffs directly next to the bright, blue ocean. Driving through the reserve, see the Cathedral, an area where a vast rock formation once stood before being destroyed by a cataclysmic earthquake. Your tour caps things off with visits to Playa Roja and Lagunillas Beach, two stunning maroon-sand beaches that are truly one-of-a-kind. Having seen some of the world's most unique natural features, flora, and fauna, you'll hop back in the car for a convenient transfer back to your hotel.

Great tour combined. Everything perfect from pick up at the hotel to the embarkement. The guide for Ballestas was very kind and didnt rush but take time to explain on every stop. Once we return back to the harbour, we were supposed to go directly to Paracas reserve(highly recommended) but the weather wasn’t perfect so the tour was delayed by one our..excellent and professional decision fro Las Adventure operator. Our guide for tour , Miss Olenka , was highly professional and very kind. She really spend time to explain everything and answer to any question we made. The Paracas reserve it is really a must see if you go in Paracas..doing the tour with a guide as we had it was great experience.

Excellent tour with Olenka and Jorge; very knowledgeable and friendly.

We did the full day tour, and really enjoyed both Islas Ballestas and Paracas National Reserve. Our guides were great, and were very supportive and patient with our interest in birdwatching. We had lots of time to enjoy many spots, and never felt rushed. They helped us with our Spanish, pointed out birds, and were great company for a great day. We would highly recommend Las Adventure for this trip.

The islands are worthwhile to visit and the trip in the national reserve park was great. We travelled as a family and the kids really liked it.
