Full description
Experience the ancient Roman heritage of Provence on this full-day tour. See the UNESCO-listed Roman theater in Orange, considered the best-preserved theater of this type in Europe. Learn about the history of the theater during your visit.

The theater is known for its magnificent stage wall, amazingly well-preserved and still functioning as a backdrop for music shows today. The wall helps to properly project sound and comprised the only feature of architectural décor in the theater.

Next you’ll continue on to Châteauneuf du Pape, passing through vineyard landscapes before arriving in Uzès, situated between the Languedoc and Provence. In the center of the town, you’ll see the imposing 12th-century Bermonde Tower. Its military origins can be seen in the ramparts with corner turrets.

You’ll have a magnificent view of the town and the surrounding countryside from the top of the tower, visit the furnished apartments of the present ducal family and see the 800-year-old cellars.

Not far away is the Pont du Gard, a true masterpiece of ancient architecture. The Pont du Gard aqueduct is one of the most beautiful Roman constructions in the region.

Built as a 3-level aqueduct standing 50 meters high, it allowed water to flow across the Gardon River to the city of Nîmes. Today this technical masterpiece stands as a work of art.
