What people are saying about Auckland

Excellent place to go to and enjoy within a short drive from Auckland

Mike was a great guide. When the trip started he explained a lot about New Zealand. He was very knowledgeable about a lot of subjects. We were taken to two waterfalls name Karie Karie falls which was really easy to access within five minutes. Kitekite falls on the other hand took us about half an hour to reach then again it depends on the individual’s fitness. Overall both waterfalls were not too difficult to reach. We were given enough time to enjoy there. Finally we were taken to Piha beach. We were shown where we’d be picked up. Piha beach is a black sandy beach, a very nice place. We also Lion Rock. Had enough time to relax and enjoy.

Piha Beach Day Trip from Auckland Reviewed by Ismath, 02/24/2019

Very Professional Excursion, Would Highly Recommend

Unfortunately we didn't get to see any whales on the day that we went out, they simply weren't making themselves available. However, we did see hundreds of dolphins. Seeing dolphins out in their natural habitat is just incredible, it took a bit of time to find them on the day that we were out, but it was well worth the wait. The captain of the boat could not have worked harder to find them out in the open ocean, the whole trip was very professional from start to finish. I would definitely go out again in the hope of finding whales next time.

Rachael M., exceptional narration throughout the entire trip.

As a retired tour driver, I was very pleased to have had Rachael providing a very complete narration for the day. She not only covered the sights we saw, she also shed light on the history of the area and the political significance of the people involved in the area's historical past. She was also well versed in the flora and fauna that we encountered throughout the tour. She had a great sense of humor that kept everyone wanting to hear more. Lastly, she displayed genuine concern for our safety while on tour.

A great way to see all of Auckland and the Waitemata Harbour.

An awesome experience that combines great views, great commentary and a friendly, witty and knowledgeable staff. Tourists and Aucklanders alike can really enjoy this experience, as you get a great view of the city, Waitemata and Hauraki Islands from a perspective you wouldn’t get any other way. Our pilot shared a breadth of knowledge on the geography and history of the region, and did so with a healthy dose of humour. If you want see Auckland then I highly recommend this experience.

Great one day trip, educational and relaxing

We have taken the tour to the Rangitoto Island from Auckland recently. The tour is very well organized, the guides on the island were very knowledgeable and passionate about preservation and environment. The weather cooperated nicely and we were able to see a lot and take several hiking paths. The most amazing thing was to see very rare birds, trees and how much is being done to preserve such treasures.
