Full description
Day 1: Auckland - Waitangi - Paihia - Russell Township - Paihia
Climb aboard your deluxe air-conditioned coach in central Auckland and wave goodbye to the city for three days as you travel north. Watch as rolling hills give way to the subtropical bush and listen to informative commentary from your driver. Upon arrival in Waitangi, enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and discover why the area is so significant to New Zealand history before your journey continues to Paihia.
Take a short ferry ride from Paihia to Russell and prepare to explore the quaint and charming township via a one-hour guided coach tour. See Christ Church, the oldest church in New Zealand, famed for the bullet-holes in its walls, and visit the historic Pompallier House, home to Bishop Pompallier’s Catholic Mission. You’ll even get the opportunity to see the country’s oldest pub. Upon arrival back in Paihia, you’ll be shown to your accommodation.

Day 2: Paihia - 90 Mile Beach - Te Paki Stream - Cape Reinga
Embark on an epic journey from Paihia to Cape Reinga as you explore the northernmost tip of New Zealand. Board your deluxe coach, purpose-built to glide over multiple terrains, from the sandy shores of 90 Mile Beach to the winding roads that lead to Cape Reinga. Take a smooth ride along 90 Mile Beach before a stop at the giant sand dunes in Te Paki. Get your fill of adrenalin as you climb the giant sand dunes and zoom back down head-first on a boogie board.
Listen as your knowledgeable driver and guide provides informative commentary along the way. Hear Māori legends and learn the history of this wild and untouched region. Upon arrival in Cape Reinga, take a short walk across the headland to reach the famous Cape Reinga Lighthouse and marvel as the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean collide before your eyes.

Day 3: Paihia - Cape Brett Cruise - Auckland
Wake up and smell the sea air. Board your deluxe catamaran, purpose-built for dolphin viewing, at Paihia Wharf and glide past some 144 islands that make up the Bay of Islands. See the famed Hole in the Rock at Motukokako Island and marvel as your skipper expertly guides your boat through the tight space (weather and ocean conditions permitting) before heading back into the sheltered waters of the bay.
Glimpse secluded islands and pristine beaches, keeping watch for dolphins and whales who frequent the subtropical waters, while listening to informative commentary from your expert crew.
