What people are saying about Athens

Good tour but not able to hear often unless close to guide.

GO tours had no technology. In a tour of 40 some odd people it is imperative to hear what is being said to have a good tour. Unless you were within 15 feet of the guide you heard nothing. Very large competing tours giving their commentary 20 feet away as there were large crowds. Extremely hard to hear at some times. Use of ear microphones would have been advantageous so the whole tour could hear not just the first 10 people who were able to keep up on the line up. The guide was short so it was often difficult to find her in the sea of other tours that were there at the same time. It would have helped if she would carry a flag or marker so her tour could recognize where she was going. Bus trip to Delphi was long so carrying a book or music to listen to would be a good idea.

Best thing I did during my stay in Athens!

This Tour is so much more than just a food walking tour. We not only tasted delicious traditional Greek food and drinks, we also received a wealth of history and knowledge from Tassos at Athenian Tours. We walked all over different parts of Athens city seeing so much more than we would have seen ourselves or with any other tour guide in my opinion. Tassos has so much passion for what he does and is very charismatic as well. You will love being in his company! If you do only one tour, I would pick this one in a heart beat. It was honestly the highlight of my 3 days in Athens. Don't think about it, just do it!

The train trip was a excellent idea to experience the landscape.

The trip on day of arrival was an amazing experience. The sunset and everything. Evelyn and Kostas were both great as guide and drivers. I would suggest that you think of something like taking people to the countryside instead of 2nddays to monestries and the 3rd day of just hanging around doing nothing while waiting till its time for the train to leave.... The second visit to monestries could rather be worked in on 3rd day while you show the people the forests and stuff on 2nd day.

Very easy access and we appreciated skipping the line

I recommend purchasing ahead the skip the line ticket. I went to the museum website to purchase the tickets and they did not offer the skip the line. So I went through Get Your Guide. After walking around the Parthenon in the morning, we went to the museum in the afternoon. There was a long line! There was no signage for people with skip the line tickets... so I asked a museum employee working the front of the museum. She looked at our tickets and ushered us right in. Phew!

our guide was so knowledgeable and caring for our wellbeing (heatwave

I cant thank our guide up the Acropolis enough - she took us into another world of history and intrigue, so very interesting. And she cared for us so very well - as it was a dramatic heatwave last week, she found us shade to partake in her considerable knowledge. Thank you so much - made it very special.
