Someone on the tour asked why is it that mostly the Jews were persecuted and killed in WW 2? Unfortunately there was no answer for the question. For me it is strait forward - According to the Bible the Jewish nation is God's chosen people and they were warned in Deuteronomy that if they disobeyed Gods word they will be dispersed among all nations and they will be persecuted, which happened time and time again, even today. But God always saves a remnant of the Jews and at the end of times they will be restored as His special chosen people. Please convey this to our tour guide - I can not remember her name.
It was a fantastic couple of hours, the guide was excellent, the history fascinating and our safety was his first consideration. My only reservation would be that it was too long a walk for some people who were less mobile. The traffic is very fierce, and two hours is a lot of time to spend on your feet. There was a little break but we both felt that when that came it would have been enough for a lot of the group. The experience is good value but half an hour less would have been perfect.
The tour was really informative and interesting. It takes you on a journey through points in Amsterdam and shows you pieces of artwork memorating ww2. The guy we had was really friendly and kept it interesting even in the pouring rain. I would definitely recommend this tour, it gives you loads of information and you finish at the frank house!
The tour that we had was excellent - the guide provided a very insightful and empathetic overview of the circumstances that prevailed in Amsterdam over the 2nd World War - we ended up at Ann Franks house. We had purchased tickets to enter Ann Franks house and museum separately - so the overall tour was excellent.
We had a wonderful time with Manuel who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Anne Frank. He provided us with insightful information related to the sights visited along with him being super approachable and friendly. I highly recommend the tour with Manuel for future references.
