A Surprise coach journey with exceptional views

Ronda The guide on the coach name was José he speaks 7 languages and flaunt is all, he was very informative about each town we passed through. The journey to Ronda had spectacular views stopping off at a village called Setenil where we was treated as it was a festival, people in local dress, riders & horses and procession. After moving onto Ronda the same festival was in Ronda but with more People and evermore elaborated dress from men & lady’s our first stop was the bullring and going through the history of the bullfights and a walk around the bullring itself. Moving onto the winery where we had some wine tasting from white, Red to sweet sherry. We then see what everyone come to see the Ronda Bridge instead of following everyone else where you only get a limited view we went down to another view point and got great views and some super photos. After we had lunch in a cafeteria up one of the side streets avoiding the Main Street as prices are higher to tourist; a great day.

Easy, convenient, great way to get a feel for the city prior to tourin

We bought the ticket one day early online. It was easy and cheap ($12 Euro for one day, two people (one senior). When we arrived in Granada we easiliy found the nearest stop of the train. The first one was full, so we waited for the next (maybe 5 minutes) and that one had plenty of room. We first toured the whole route then got off at Alhambra. For the rest of the day we got on and off shopping or touring and then getting back on. We never waited more than 10 minutes and every train had plenty of space after that first one. Yes it's bumpy - yes it's noisy - if you want an airconditioned rubber ride then get an expensive tour. It was very convenient, the map was excellent and the drivers were polite and patient. As always, a little Spanish is very helpful.

Got to See the Alhambra, Got to Play on a Segway

Tickets were not available for the Alhambra by itself, so we had to get in via a tour group, and even that also required booking an additional tour of Granada via a Segway/EBike. It was more than I really wanted to pay, but didn't feel I had any other option. That said, we're had a great day. The Alhambra experience was much more worthwhile with the expertise of a guide and Fernando did a wonderful job. We had headsets which made it much easier to hear and thus was much more informative, entertaining, and well paced. Afterwards came the Segway tour of the town of Granada. Our guide Fabricio was very enthusiastic, entertaining, and knowledgeable. It all combined to make for a great, one-of-a-kind day, that I am glad that I "splurged" for.

An excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide

We really enjoyed the tour of the Alcazar. There were just 5 in our group and the guide spoke excellent English. She was very knowledgeable about the palace and able to answer all our questions. We then had time afterwards to visit the extensive gardens and revisit the palace for more photos. Having a booked ticket also meant we joined a much shorter queue to enter the Alcazar - we only queued for about 5 mins. For much of the queue there is no shade and you stand in full sun.

Outstanding tour Miguel a fountain of knowledge/excellent presentation

The Alcazar guided tour with Miguel was absolutely outstanding. The Alcazar itself is beautiful and was brought to life and explained expertly by the tour guide. He was clear, funny, and informative. Better than 9.5/10. 90 minutes was a perfect length of time for the tour and we spent approx 45 minutes wandering through the beauty of the Alcazar afterwards. Don't pay entrance and an audio guide that will bore you to tears. Pay a little bit extra and get an expert guided tour.
