Full description
Get ready for a panoramic trip! After traveling from your hotel to the southern area of Mexico City you will reach Xochimilco, which in Náhuatl means "Field of Flowers", declared a World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

You will then get onboard of a traditional and colorful Trajinera (typical wooden boat) to navigate along its mystical pluvial channels that have existed since pre-Hispanic times. The channels have been there since the Valley of Mexico was distinguished by the existence of lakes and lagoons almost in its entirety.

You will then visit 2 of the most popular museums in the capital city, the Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as the "Blue House" (because of the distinctive color of its facade), and the Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum, which in Nahuatl means "Casa del Anáhuac" (near the water).

Afterwards, you will arrive in Coyoacán, which in Nahuatl means "Place of those who have Coyotes". This is a fascinating site due to its great colonial architectural heritage which used to be a town, and has presently become the most famous bohemian neighborhood of the city. Numerous national and foreign personalities have lived there, such as artists, intellectuals, and politicians. You will visit the Church of San Juan Bautista, with free time to walk through Plaza Hidalgo, and you will also have free time to explore the Mercado de Artesanías (Coyoacán’s famous handicrafts market).
