What people are saying about Amsterdam
When I had bought the tickets, my expectations were quite high. I'm happy to say that the whole experience of wine and cheese was simply a m a z i n g, thus going far beyond my expectations! The atmosphere, the wine and the cheese platter were very good. Yet I need to stress out that the tour guider was perfect; he had good sense of humour, took care of every single passenger, explained a lot about Amsterdam and locals' traditions and kept smiling throughout the cruise. Everything is a matter of positive energy and the crew filled the place with light energy. I'm really glad that I'd chosen this cruise and I highly recommend it to everybody. Making memories is a blessing and tonight I was blessed to make such wonderful and colorful memories!
There was simply nothing to fault with any part of the activity. The crew were top notch, the serving staff very polite, smart and caring, The food was excellent, wine and water was plentiful and all included in the price. The captain of the boat was also an excellent tour guide explaining practically every building and bridge that we passed under, rendering the tour an interesting and very informative one all the way. Would we be ready to repeat the experience should we visit Amsterdam again? The reply is an unequivocal YES. Well done to all concerned - ray
The boat ride and food were very good. We enjoyed both the info imparted during the cruise and the food. The problem, however, is that it was advertised as a night cruise where we would see Amsterdam lights. In June, it stays light to almost 10 pm — no romantic dinner in complete daylight. Also, they did not tell us that it docked at a different location than where it embarked. Not only did it dock a long way from the pier, it was half an hour late. We missed the cab we had booked to get back because of the time difference and dockimg difference
A really great way to see Amsterdam from a different angle. The captain was insightful and funny so that was a bonus. In regards to the meal, it was enjoyable but I wouldn't call it extravagant. The menu was various (we went for 'meat menu') and tasted lovely. The staff was quick to fill up the empty wine glasses so my hat off to them. Overall, I would recommend it.
I would recommend this trip although my only negative comment would be you are crammed in without much room and if there are only two of you you have to share your table with others. If you are happy with this I would highly recommend especially in December as the canal and buildings were lit up and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
