What people are saying about Amsterdam

Tulips wonderful but the tour to the cheese & windmills had issues

Guide was very nice but not very informative - keep asking us if we had questions. He should have had a plan in place and telling us about where we were going and about Amsterdam, etc. Cheese place quick and nice however it is a place they stop so you will spend money. The windmill village had this same type of cheese demonstration. Not enough time in the windmills to visit them all and we did not even get to see the wooden shoe maker because our guide asked us to wait until the end and then 3 buses showed up and he said you can wait but it will be long wait now and suggested we not. When we first arrived at the village there was no one at the wooden shoe demo and no reason for us to have missed it. Keukenhof was wonderful and we did have enough time there.

Marco’s Enjoyable and Entertaining Amsterdam Bicycle Tour

Well, what can I say. Marco’s extremely enjoyable, entertaining and knowledgeable Amsterdam bicycle tour was the highlight of our two weeks in Europe. With so many people riding bicycles in Amsterdam, we did not know what to expect. Riding with Marco for the three hours taught us a lot about Amsterdam. The ride not only allowed us learn a lot of the Amsterdam history, but also gave us the confidence and experience of riding the bicycle in Amsterdam. The next day we rented the bicycles and rode them for 8-9 hours. I highly recommend the tour before heading out on your own. Thank you so much Marco for the entertaining and knowledgeable tour. This is a great tour and I definitely recommend it!

Thank you, this was the highlight of Amsterdam. We went in at the back of the windmill village and got to experience it quietly and private. We went to a little farm where they still make the wooden shoed by hand. We understood that this was the only place around where they still make them by hand. We stayed away from the mass in Volendam and the guide gave us the option to go with him to a local and unique fishing village. Wow, all by ourselves with the locals. Thank you so much to take us of the tracks and show us the real thing tol! Good luck!!!

Nice old school tour where you are treated as individuals

Cherry, our guide and tour operator was very lively and informative. Not electronic devices to plug your head into, just good old fashioned human interaction. Captain Jack on the canal tour was hilarious. There was no herding people into one retail shop after another that seems to be the norm now. It was like going on a trip with a large group of friends. You could join the activities or you could do your own thing. If you want to be treated like a person and not cattle, this could be the tour for you

A really enjoyable day trip from Amsterdam!

Giethoorn is an adorable spot! Mika our guide is very knowledgeable and fun to be with. It was chilly for May3rd (12 C), but enjoyable with a coat & hat and without the crowds of people who visit in July and August. Mika knows the right amount of detail to give to make the stories and directions memorable and relatable. We didn’t join the traditional Dutch lunch with the rest of the group, but that was okay with Mika
