Giovanna was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable showed great reference pictures, we joined another couple so it felt very personal. She speaks clearly and answered any questions fully. Lovely to visit the Cheese Shop and tour. thank you for the gift too, I would strongly recommend. Classic Canal Tour was very relaxing, was concerned at first that our Captain was multitasking but soon realised how skilled he was, very pleasant way to spend time seeing Amsterdam from a different angle. We were very well looked after, would recommend this tour.
Cherry our tour guide did an excellent job and the tour was perfectly planned. The meeting point was clearly mentioned and easy to find, the transport arranged was very comfortable and though the journey is over an hour long we never got bored on the way as Cherry was providing information on the history of Geithoorn and what to expect there. The village itself is very beautiful and we enjoyed the boat tour as well as the short walking tour after lunch. Would definitely recommend this tour to other travellers. Thanks Cherry!
Cherry, our guide and tour operator was very lively and informative. Not electronic devices to plug your head into, just good old fashioned human interaction. Captain Jack on the canal tour was hilarious. There was no herding people into one retail shop after another that seems to be the norm now. It was like going on a trip with a large group of friends. You could join the activities or you could do your own thing. If you want to be treated like a person and not cattle, this could be the tour for you
Giethoorn is an adorable spot! Mika our guide is very knowledgeable and fun to be with. It was chilly for May3rd (12 C), but enjoyable with a coat & hat and without the crowds of people who visit in July and August. Mika knows the right amount of detail to give to make the stories and directions memorable and relatable. We didn’t join the traditional Dutch lunch with the rest of the group, but that was okay with Mika
The tour was as advertised and everything went smoothly. The group was much larger than I expected (57 people) but we were able to go off on our own through Giethoorn. If you want time to explore, bring your own lunch. Other reviews recommended getting your own boat but the canals were incredibly crowded, walking was just fine.
