Surprise for 50th birthday lovely pizza and canal boat cruise

I booked this for the occasion of my husband’s 50th birthday and it was just as amazing as I had hoped! Thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking to do something special but on a budget. It was great value for money. Made more special by the whole crew mates and total strangers singing happy birthday to my husband! Was a wonderful ending to a lovely day. 10/10 Only downside was a very small toilet at the back of the boat next to where other diner’s were sitting and no smoking areas. We only had one waiter for a busy boatload of people, including a big party of other tourists, so it took a long to be served the initial drinks and eventually the pizza, but there were little snacks on the table like green olives and small bread snacks. Nice little touch. One other downside: the captain didn’t prepare us for possible good photo opportunities, and we missed a few with lit up canals. Thought there would be more commentary to point out the sights along the way. No map

Great place to visit if you like art, architecture and history!

I really enjoyed this museum. I had read a bit about Rembrandt before I went, and I think that's what made the visit so interesting. I liked the audioguide, and also the fact that I could get the audioguide on e-mail to listen to when I came home. The stairs in the house are very narrow, but it was not crowded when I was there, so it was fine. But it's no place for those with walking disabilities. The house is beautiful, and I especially liked the Cabinet - what a collector of rare items Rembrandt was! There were nice human guides in the rooms as well, and they answered any questions we had. Definitely a place worth visiting if you're interested in architecture, art and history. I ordered the tickets online, but still had to stand in queue to show the tickets, so not especially much time saved. But there were no crowd, so there was not a long wait to get in. I was there on a Friday about 12.30 pm.

It was an interesting experience learning about Rembrandt's life

The restored rooms + collection of different memorabilia of the period were of interest. I liked the idea of exposing different colour paints, explanations of their origin and usage by Rembrandt

The tasting was well done and delivered by the host.

The host was knowledgeable about the cheeses we tasted. A bit more information on pairing with the wine and impact on the cheese we were tasted would have helped.

tour guide was knowledgeable & fun to talk to

Finding the guide was tricky. Especially because it rained. .. so thousand umbrella piped up lol. Maybe defining a spot for where you meet your guide would help
