What people are saying about Alvor
We didn't really know what to expect and as there were a few boats coming and going collecting people that morning we werent sure which one was ours.. until I noticed the parrots id seen in the advert for the trip! Once on board we were soon off, introduced to the friendly parrots, with a chance to hold them and take pictures with them... we had some good music playing, offered an ice tea foc or you could buy drinks (not a bar as such). The boat was more like a small converted fishing boat and if you needed the loo there were steep steps down to a small *very* low down toilet which you had to flush but leave paper in a bin.... ok in some cases but i wouldnt like to get caught out needing anything solid if you catch my drift!!!! Its a traditional boat, not a pleasure boat, but that added to the experience so we were happy. The weather was perfect and the scenery was breathtaking - we cruised alongside caves, some that you could go into and out the other side with little beaches.
When I booked the ticket, I soon received a message with the time. Due to travelling I wasn't able to make it that early so they answered quickly with a later suggested time which was very customer-friendly. The skydiving experince was an incredible feeling with a lovely instructor on my side. Although it's quite expensive with the video, it was defintely worth it. The well-made video with the pictures were sent quickly via email with a download link. Many thanks to João who made this to another special day of my life!♥️
Host were excellent and nature at its best. It is one of our best 2,5 hours spent, this trip is worth every penny. Ice tea was served in the boat, as complimentary. Loreonzo did excellent explanation and Miguel had excellent sense of humour with total control on the boat. All in all, one of the most memorable trip.
Because the trip lasts 3 hours, you get to see many caves. And because the boat is not big, the captain is able to maneuver in the smallest caves. The boat trip is extra cozy with two parrots on board, music, and free icetea drinks. After visiting the Benagil cave you can swim from the boat to a nearby beach.
Fabulous views and tour guide letting us know what all the different caves and beaches were called! Boat is bumpy tho on the Portuguese waves, my friend was sick but still thoroughly enjoyed. No toilet in board so important to go before trip FYI.
