Full description
Starting in Alice Springs, you will stop at an authentic outback camel farm, then continue on to the permanent campsite at Yulara for lunch before embarking to explore the 36 domes of Kata Tjuta. Here, we get up close to this ancient geological formation during an afternoon hike. The perfect end to a remarkable day is watching the Rock’s rich colours change against a blazing Red Centre sunset. Depending on your mood you can choose to sleep in a permanent 4 share safari tent (bunk beds) or in a swag (Aussie bedroll) under millions of outback stars.

On day two, enjoy a glorious sunrise with a walk around the base of Uluru. Deepen your understanding of the land and the Mala people during a walk with your tour guide. There’s an opportunity to purchase Aboriginal arts and crafts at the Cultural Centre before travelling to an exclusive campsite in Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon). You can choose tonight to sleep in a swag (Aussie bedroll) under millions of outback stars or in one of our permanent 4 share safari tents (bunk beds).

On day 3, discover the Lost City and the Garden of Eden on a 6km hike in Kings Canyon. Admire and explore the towering walls and crevices of Watarrka National Park. The photo opportunities are endless in Kings Canyon so be sure to bring your camera. At the end of the trek it’s time to refuel with a bite to eat before making the journey back to the remote centre of Alice Springs.

As a solo traveler, I was initially afraid that there were only couples in the group and the three days would be super relaxing. In fact, it was almost only solo travelers or friends, which developed a good dynamic. I am not a fan of guided tours, but here I can definitely say that it was worth it. We were a small group and had a lot of flexible time. You also weren't forced to take part in every hike. Whoever wanted could go on “easier” tours. That was quite good for some at 42 degrees. :-) We also had our own cook and both the cook and the guide really took care of everything.

Fantastic - The best way to see Uluru, Kata Tjuta & Kings Canyon

Oue experience was fantastic - It would have to be the best way to see Uluru, Kata Tjuta & Kings Canyon and learn some Indigenous lore. Our driver/guide , Phil, really knew his stuff. We got to see all the sights , at the right time (ie sunrise and sunset) with heaps of Indigenous information without having to worry about driving or time schedules etc (as Phil looked after that.) The hostie(s) looked after us at each camp with great food & wine for dinner...the glamping included wood floored tents, with comfortable beds, lights and power as well as hot showers... Loved it and highly recommend to anyone!
