Popular Tickets in Alcázar of Seville

Skip the line tickets for Alcazar is great, but be sure to arrive early as a lot of people buy these tickets. Some appear at the gate to buy them on the day and they are probably the last ones to get in. If you get in early you have the opportunity to take some great photos, a few minutes late and every place gets filled up and thus ruins the opportunity of good snaps. There is information throughout the Alcazar so you can get by without a guide, of course the trip with a guide would have its own benefits but I was told by one of the guides that I will get inside the Alcazar before them and so I did. I wasn't able to get the skip the line tickets for the Cathedral but to be honest it wouldn't have helped a lot, as I spent a good few hours at the Alcazar and by the time I got to the Cathedral it was already full of people and the queue was about 10 minutes long, which wasn't bad.

The cathedral did not open until 1430 which was our allocated time for Alcazar. However, we went early and collected our tickets without issue A queue had started to form prior to the cathedral opening with numerous people pushing and shoving. When the doors opened, they seemed to be letting those without tickets through to the pay points and we had to wait for a considerable period of time. We were also in amongst large groups and they would not let us (2) through until the groups had paid. The woman on the desk was rude and abrupt when we tried to help by showing her the booking reference number. Both venues not missed, a very worthwhile visit.

Completely fulfilling the stereotype that Spanish people talk a lot (her words), Lydia made the tour of the Alcázar a very entertaining and instructive experience. She really knows her stuff, engages her audience well and expertly guides her group through a truly beautiful palace, all the while explaining details of the decor, the function of the rooms and many anecdotes of times long past. Complete recomendation.

we were not sure about the meeting point and did not have the barcode, called the office and received a number with which we were found on the list at the entrances by mail within seconds. also received instructions where to queue - in summary very professional handling of the office.

All worked very well - tickets sorted, cathedral visit worked fine even though on a Sunday in August during renovations! All aspects of which could have contrived against us. Alcazar beautiful amazing ! Cathedral splendid ! La giralda just wonderful
