What people are saying about Albaicin

Must see the foremost complex of Moorish Spain

Reasonable value tour that starts early in the morning (around 7) with hotel pickup for the 3 hour coach trip with an extremely well organised mid-way stop. Our guide, the formidable Petra Meier, moved with fluency from an excellent English to an Andalus-accented Spanish with her native German well hidden. Participants from Korea, US, Pakistan, Bahrein, China and Australia. The tour of Albaicin was a delight, although the locals must hate us tourists cluttering their already narrow street. Petra was a great source of minute information delivered with humour and flair with a voice that would need no amplification in a football stadium. For the visit to the Alhambra and the Generalife we had Marina Jiménez Peña, an extrovert and knowledgeable Granada girl with incredibly expressive hands and possibly the longest fingers I've ever seen. Great guide, good audio kit. A full day. Bring a power bank for your mobile as you'll take zillions of pictures and there were no USB ports on our bus.

Worth it. Glad we did it, but would change Albaycin tour

The worst part- the local company and this website have totally different pick up locations. Be very careful to go to the right place. Really enjoyed the tour of Al-Hambra. Gustavo was an amazing tour guide. He was humorous and engaging and I really enjoyed learning from him. Our tour guide on the way up/ for Albaycin was okay. Her English was a little hard to understand at times, but she was kind and sweet. I wish we hadn't booked the Albaycin. We saw cool stuff, but would have enjoyed some solo exploration more. Albaycin was fine, but not worth the money or the inability to do touring alone. Another thing, we got some free time to rest during our al-Hambra tour but the free time took place in outside of Al-Hambra. I wish we had some free time to explore al-Hambra. I wanted to see some things for longer, but that opportunity never arose. A don't regret doing this day trip at all and would recommend, but wish I could make some minor tweaks.

Very good tour guides and comfortable bus

We booked the English speaking tour. We had one guide for the bus rides and Albycin (highly recommend this extra) and a different guide for the Alhambra. Both were excellent and highly knowledgeable. Our only complaint is that we though we were going to have about an hour of free time at Alhambra after the guided tour but we barely made it back to the bus in the time allotted. I think part of the problem was that we had a couple who only spoke Spanish and so the guide repeated everything in Spanish for them so we spent extra time at each stopping point. Other than that, the drivers were great, the bus was comfortable and I am glad we did the bus tour from Seville instead of trying to navigate to Alhambra ourselves.

Meeting tour at Granavisión office? BE THERE AT 6 AM!

GetYourGuide implies 6:15 AM meeting time. That is for 1st hotel pick up. Granavisión group departs their office at 6 AM for quick-march to where bus is parked. If you miss them, call the guide phone number they give you and he/she will instruct you to take a cab (good luck with that) to the last hotel pick up location. I had stopped in at the Granavisión office the day beforehand, so my group made it. Some were not so fortunate. GetYourGuide UPDATE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS!!! The tour was great, the guides were great. Well worth the money.

Every aspect of the tour was excellent: charming, capable guides.

Both of our guides, the warm, upbeat, smiling young woman from Seville, Eoraida, and the sophisticated Italian guide at La Alhambra, Consuela(?), could not have been better. Clean, comfortable air-conditioned coach, perfect restaurant stops, patient, professional, knowledgable guides. Expensive tour, but good value! Lots of walking. Highly recommend. So much better quality than we expected going by other reviews.
