GREAT WAY TO SEE GRANADA AND PICK YOUR MUST-SEES/DOS

OK so this is not a substitute for on-foot exploration, although I imagine that some of the riders abuse it as such....! It is tempting to just ride in circles and never get off because the stops are FAR APART. [NEEDS FIXING, GYG] AND THE SEATS NEED PADDING AS WELL! Very bumpy ride in some spots, a bit of a rollercoaster feel sometimes, and yes, there are accidents. That said, I used this as my transport around Granada to explore sights and areas that piqued my interest. The 'audio tour' is lame, it lags behind the driver so you can a. miss your stop and b. miss seeing the attraction described. THAT NEEDS FIXING AS WELL. All of this said I would STILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. The Corte Ingles bonus 'TAPAS AND GLASS OF WINE' on the receipt is hard to make use of; they are too far from the line to be a quick stop, [in fact I could not find it.] but do jump on and off and give yourself time to explore both sides of the line as the up and downhill are on different sides.

Worth it. Glad we did it, but would change Albaycin tour

The worst part- the local company and this website have totally different pick up locations. Be very careful to go to the right place. Really enjoyed the tour of Al-Hambra. Gustavo was an amazing tour guide. He was humorous and engaging and I really enjoyed learning from him. Our tour guide on the way up/ for Albaycin was okay. Her English was a little hard to understand at times, but she was kind and sweet. I wish we hadn't booked the Albaycin. We saw cool stuff, but would have enjoyed some solo exploration more. Albaycin was fine, but not worth the money or the inability to do touring alone. Another thing, we got some free time to rest during our al-Hambra tour but the free time took place in outside of Al-Hambra. I wish we had some free time to explore al-Hambra. I wanted to see some things for longer, but that opportunity never arose. A don't regret doing this day trip at all and would recommend, but wish I could make some minor tweaks.

An unforgettable location brilliantly brought to life by our guide

We were not planning on going on a guided tour of the Alhambra, but wanted to buy a general admission ticket. But because we got around to booking late, the only way was to book on this tour. Having been on the tour, I’m delighted we were forced down this route. Our guide, Martha, was fantastic. Not only was she friendly and knowledgeable, she also managed to bring together so many of the aspects of the Alhambra’s story to life with human stories. Her enthusiasm for the history of the area shone through and it was hard not to be swept along. I’d thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who’s prepared to do a bit of walking. The second half of it in the Albaicin was definitely worth while and provided a nice compliment to the morning at the Alhambra. Thank you!

Easy, convenient, great way to get a feel for the city prior to tourin

We bought the ticket one day early online. It was easy and cheap ($12 Euro for one day, two people (one senior). When we arrived in Granada we easiliy found the nearest stop of the train. The first one was full, so we waited for the next (maybe 5 minutes) and that one had plenty of room. We first toured the whole route then got off at Alhambra. For the rest of the day we got on and off shopping or touring and then getting back on. We never waited more than 10 minutes and every train had plenty of space after that first one. Yes it's bumpy - yes it's noisy - if you want an airconditioned rubber ride then get an expensive tour. It was very convenient, the map was excellent and the drivers were polite and patient. As always, a little Spanish is very helpful.

I will remember this experience as the highlight of my stay in Granad!

In all my travels, my trip to Granada was a standout experience. The highlight was most definitely the guided tour of the Alhambra. My guide, Hamdi, was a joy to be with and clearly conveyed his knowledge of the Alhambra to his group of English speakers. His knowledge of the history of the Alhambra was impressive and he took the time to answer any questions that came to him. The day itself was perfect weather, blue skies and warm which only added to the experience. Booking ahead was a wise thing to as there were many, many people there on the day. Hamdi was happy to take photos of you with your camera or phone so I now have happy memories of my day at the Alhambra. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Granada.
