What people are saying about Al Ain
Starting time on paper 8am, phone indicated 8:30, real 9am. The guide was also the driver. After a half an hour drive a brake fluid problem on the road between Dubai and Al Ain. Waiting the new car in the small shadow of a bush in the desert near the road, horribly hot. The new driver asked: how are you? Without official apologize by the Funturs Dubai Company. 1st stop at noon. After that there were interesting places but only 5-10 minutes photo breaks. Hurry and rush to fulfill the indicated program. We have only 40 minutes for the lunch in Hilton as a most expensive element of this tour, so without enough time. After this hurrying the guide smoked 10 minutes. At the Camel Market they did not mentionned before the agressive behaviour of guys for money asking pictures with camels. The guy asked 100AED (gave 20). It was the deficiency of our Indian guide. The way back the guide slept and handed over the steering wheel to his inexperienced learner collegue, fear of death on the road
FUNTOURS DUBAI, being part British gives the most elegant and upright service with absolutely no short cut. On 09/14/13, their very professional and gracious Driver Qismat pulled up at our Hotel pick up exactly on scheduled time. On that day, the Driver had only my Sister and I for the entire 7 hour tour. He was very patient and informative all the time and showed us everything and more of our scheduled activities. This Dubai to El Ain day tour offers far more very interesting activities that FunTours advertise. For the very reasonable all inclusive cost, they include the nearly 2 hour drive showed us the entire village, local market place, Museum, Zoo, Camel Market, soaked our feet on a Rock Spring. He drove us thru the very top of the highest Jabel Hafeet Mountain which were spectacular in hight and beauty and most surprisingly enough, Funtours, being British, reserved for us a grand Buffet at the magnificent Hilton Hotel located at the foot of the Mountain. Great value!!
I am disappointed that the tour did not take us to visit one of the most important tourist exhibition which is Fort Jahili to view the permanent photographs of Wilfred Thesiger which was why I took this tour.
Very interesting tour, lots of history about the region. Nice to get up close with the camels
