What people are saying about Adelaide River
The tour was lovely and we had a great afternoon. Our coach driver, Hank, was very pleasant and helpful and I was impressed with the organisation involved in getting us all back to our hotels. The only sour note, and it was a big one, was the attitude of the staff at the Hahndorff Inn where we were sent for afternoon tea. We were treated as second class citizens as soon as she knew we were tour passengers, given a very limited menu to make our selection and made to sit on the only grotty table in the room. Take the afternoon tea off, reduce the tour price accordingly and let people get their own. There is plenty of choice and there was plenty of time.
Disappointed with Hahndorf, it really was just a drive there and back. As a 4 hour tour I expected to be able to see and learn more about the historical seetlement. There is an art gallery there, but as we were left in the Main Street for 1.5 hours, there wasn't any way of finding it outside of the town.
we were left standing at the mantra for over half hour and not aware the bus was not a gray line and the driver did not enquire of our name
It was a great experience. We don't have anything like this in Canada and I can't to show my pictures and video.
The river cruise guide appeared totally bored! To rest of the trip was very enjoyable.
