Full description
Take an exhilarating ride to the best snorkeling locations in the Whitsunday Islands, traveling with climate action leaders. This multi-award winning tour visits the world-famous Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet Lookout and offers 2 snorkelling opportunities on the fringing reefs of the Great Barrier Reef. Ride on one of the fastest catamarans in the Whitsundays. The boat has been designed for stability and speed, so is perfect for passengers who are concerned about seasickness.

Contact the local partner for a pickup location and head to Coral Sea Marina Resort by bus. The boat will then depart and travel to Tongue Bay for a once-in-a-lifetime experience on Whitehaven Beach, famous for its white sands and crystal clear waters. It is also one of the most photographed beaches in the world. Then, enjoy a guided bush walk to Hill Inlet Lookout, located at the northern end of the beach. The tide shifts and the white sands blend together, creating an amazing effect. Enjoy fresh, homemade gluten-free brownies for morning tea, followed by a buffet lunch of zucchini frittata and quiche lorraine, cold sliced meats and cheeses, salads, and bread, before heading to two snorkelling locations.

Your crew will select the best snorkeling locations based on weather and visibility conditions. You will visit either Peter Bay or Stonehaven, and be blown away by the colors, bountiful fish and coral formations on the UNESCO-listed Great Barrier Reef. Peter Bay has amazing coral and marine life, and is one of the quietest snorkelling spots in the Whitsundays, and Stonehaven is where the locals go. Next you will go to Manta Ray Bay, situated on the northern tip of Hook Island, which has an array of underwater valleys, caves and plenty of different fish. Enjoy exploring the crystal clear waters as your guides point out everything there is to see. Afternoon tea of fresh fruit will be provided before the scenic journey back to Airlie Beach, where you will arrive at approximately 5:00 PM.

I did this solo, and I still had a great time. Michael and David were very welcoming and enthusiastic guides. We all got a brownie a few minutes into our boat departure and lunch was delicious. We were served two different types of pasta salad, lettuce salads, and different meats/bread to make sandwiches. After our snorkel we were all served a fruit salad on a skewer. I do wish we had a little bit more time snorkeling with the fish, but I only did the day time excursion. Still plenty of time to do everything, I was just enamored with water life.

Everything was amazing corals and fish were so nice, the guide gives us enough time to appreciate snorkelling. Also, we were able to swim in Whitehaven like 2 hours so we really got plenty of time in each activity. The only thing was that the guide left the boat in the middle of the sea while we were having lunch so I got dizzy and could eat properly. I would suggest to them to drive to Whitehaven shore and give the lunch in more calm waves.

An ace day. Two good snorkeling venues, good lunch and then the amazing Whitehaven Beach. Mick and Mike looked after us superbly. Both very safety conscious and also great at making sure everyone had a good time. Nice sized boat - not too enormous so the group was a sensible size. Highly recommend.
