What people are saying about Wallenstein Palace
We had to reschedule our booking due to a canceled flight, and Ms. McGee handled the issue promptly and without any problem. Our guide, Byron, was terrific. He's half Czech and half American, so he speaks perfect English while having deep insights into Prague. The tour was very lively, focusing on Prague history and legends and on Czech culture, with plenty of interesting anecdotes. Not a good choice for art and architecture enthusiasts, though: the details about these subjects were almost completely disregarded (which was fine with us, so the tour still earns five stars). A word of warning: If you are taking the tour in cold weather, dress very warmly. The castle hill tends to be colder than the city center, and some chilly wind can blow straight to your bones.
We love Sandman's tours and always seek them out. All of the guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. We find it is the best way to see any city while finding out snippets about the history, customs and culture of the place. In Prague alone we did 3 different Sandman Tours and would have done more except for the flood. Another benefit of these tours is you get the opportunity to meet fellow travellers of all ages and travel experiences are easily exchanged. Lyn & Bern June'13
This was a great tour with historical facts as well as interesting legends. We really enjoyed walking in the early evening as the places visited were void of all tourists so you could take your time and actually see the sites on a personal level. I would recommend to anyone who has the stamina to walk for approximately 3 hours at a moderate pace. It was a special way to see Prague without any crowds.
My guide David was amazing and he took to the streets of old town and the castle and amazing view points where you can see whole of prague lit in the dark.. the cobble stone paths , lanterns and tranquillity of the place mesmerises you which is just not possible during the day. Thank you David for this amazing experience
My guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. I would recommend making sure you have a spare tram ticket- I had to run all over the place looking for a ticket booth so I could get back to my hostel, as I had to use the one I planned to use on my trip back on the tour. Still, it was great, and I would do it again!
