Full description
After being collected from your downtown accommodation in a comfortable shuttle bus, you will venture down to the harbor where you will meet with your boat. After meeting your guides for the day, you will then depart from Victoria, setting off on your 3-hour whale-watching tour.

Between April and October, you will have a greater than 95% success rate of spotting whales, including both transient and resident orcas, humpback, minke, and gray whales. Other wildlife you may encounter include Dall’s and harbor porpoises, harbor and elephant seals, and otters and marine birds such as cormorants and bald eagles.

The zodiac vessels used on your tour are definitely recommended for the more wild-at-heart. You can let the wind blow in your hair and be exposed to the true west-coast elements in an open style, 12-passenger vessel. At the conclusion of your exhilarating tour, you will be returned back to the harbor, at which point you will be driven back to your accommodation in downtown Victoria.

Great experience !!

The tour is really great. First you drive out with the Zoodiac for 45-60 minutes. afterwards we had almost 1 hour to watch whales. We were very lucky and saw several groups that sometimes got up to 10m from the boat. Since there was so much to see on this day, our guide stayed with us longer and we were only back after 3.5 hours.

exceeded all expectations

My husband and my son and I went on this 3 hour whale watching tour guided by Tristan. This tour exceeded all our expectations in every respect. The check in was friendly even though we were told to meet in the wrong place. They picked us up after they found where we had been told to meet. Tristan was our guide and he was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and gave us many interesting facts about whales. We sighted many whales. I feel this Tristan knew that if we kept still for a while when we were in the middle of a group of about 6 whales that one would become curious. Indeed, after less than about 10 minutes, one whale decided to come and investigate our zodiac. It swa up to our boat and dived under it. This was thrilling and more than we ever expected.
