Full description
Visit the countryside of Verona in a rural family-run winery home to 5 generations. At the winery, enjoy a peaceful stroll around the vineyard and listen to the family history of the winery and its estates.

Then head to the traditional drying room and learn how to dry Amarone grapes using a process called Appassimento. Listen to the winemaker explain the process of making wine, and how different grapes produce different flavors. Visit the rural house and cellar next, which have been used for wine making since the 17th century.

Finally, after your tour of the winery, enjoy a tasting session of a selection of fine wines including Valpolicella, Ripasso and the great Amarone. Learn how to evaluate them using your senses of sight, smell and taste. The wine is paired with a selection of antipasti including local cheeses, salami, and extra virgin olive oil. As you eat, admire the stunning view across the Italian countryside and the Valpolicella hills, from the terrace.

The best wine experience we could have asked for!

The family that lived there were extremely heart warming and welcoming when we got there. We were greeted with coffee as soon as we arrived. The tour guide was so friendly and his English was fantastic. We were taught about the local area and how they grow and produce their different wines. After, we were served local cheese, meats and bread which were probably the best we’ve had since our arrival in Italy. We had three glasses of wine each and they were fantastic! Paired with a beautiful biscuit/dessert. They were in no hurry to get rid of us and took so much time and patience with everyone’s queries and comments. I would highly recommend doing this if you are in the area!

Stunning family run vineyard, delicious wine & light lunch.

Incredible experience in a stunning setting. It is not made clear on the website on how to get to the vineyard, however if you call ahead you will be able to organise Jacopo to pick you up from Verona and take you back. Alternatively a taxi is €35 to €40 from Verona train station. The tour and light lunch lasted approximately 3.5 hours. The wine samples are generous and the lunch provided included bread, homemade olive oil, salami, cheese, homemade cherry chutney (which is delicious!) and almond biscuits to compliment the wine. If you don't know too much about wine (we didn't) you will leave well informed with a keenness to learn more! Fantastic experience. I couldn't recommend it more.

This is a fantastic way to spend a few hours. We were collected from our hotel by Jacopo and driven to the Vineyard, lots of information, lovely wine tasting with lunch. Jacopo and his family are really welcoming, we were part of a small group which made it really personal. Get booking you will not be disappointed. The wine is fantastic.
