Full description
Explore the opulent Baroque-style Palazzo Zenobio, a monumental palace in the picturesque Dorsoduro neighborhood of Venice. Visit the famous Hall of Mirrors, decorated with frescoes by Louis Dorigny, and learn about the significance of the art and architecture of the palace. Wander through the 19th century palace garden among reddish brown yew bushes, laurels, cypresses, hackberries, and rows of locust trees. You will also have the opportunity to visit the historic Armenian print house inside the palace. For Armenians, printed books have long been of fundamental cultural importance, together with artistic traditions and traditional products. Printing, bookbinding, painting, engraving, and similar arts represent a symbol of union and belonging for a nation long-besieged by foreign occupation, but also of relationships shared with other cultures, in this case, the Venetian one. Thanks to the work of typography experts and artisans, the print house is back in business after a long period of closure.
