Full description
Your guide will meet you near the Vatican City, before you skip the ticket line at the entrance of the Vatican Museums. If required, you can store any belongings you may have in the Vatican cloakroom before the start of the tour. Throughout this tour your children will join in games and win prizes whilst discovering more about the Vatican’s collections.

The first items you will see on the tour are the multitude of ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, as well as the sarcophagi of Empress Helena and Constantina, the mother and daughter of Constantine the Great. The tour will then move through the Gallery of the Candelabra, Gallery of the Tapestries, Sobieski Hall, and the sumptuously decorated Raphael Rooms. You will then enter one of Italy’s most popular attractions, the Sistine Chapel, which is still in use, primarily for the papal elections. The chapel is home to Michelangelo's 'The Last Judgment' and other frescoes depicting Biblical stories, such as the creation of Adam. The tour will progress from the Sistine Chapel to the most important Catholic church in the world - Saint Peter’s Basilica.

This tour is the perfect way to explore all that the Vatican has to offer, as well as keep your children entertained and engaged, as they have fun and learn. Your family will love teaming up to solve quizzes, participate in treasure hunts, and much more. Your guide will personalize your tour, creating a unique experience for your family. Your tour will end in Saint Peter's Square next to the taxi rank and bus station.

I greatly enjoyed the visit made to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's. The three hours of visit were spent in a very pleasant way, thanks to the fantastic works admired and the competence, kindness and affability of our guide Francesco. The 10 and 11 year old girls were literally conquered by Francesco and all they admired.

Wonderful tour - Francesco was terrific. Both our boys (11 and 13) really enjoyed it. He made it interesting and entertaining and made the Vatican feel manageable and enjoyable. He was also very respectful in the Sistine Chapel (many other guides were not which the kids noticed at once). It also let us skip lots of long lines even though it wasn't even a busy day at the Vatican.

Best tour for kids in Rome!

This tour was excellent for our our family of five with two boys ages 10 and 12. We were joined by one other family with their children. Our guide was so wonderful with the children and the adults as well. She made sure that they understood what they were going to see before they saw it and helped to make the tour as personal as possible. She would find ways to interact with the children that made the tour interesting, informative and guided us to areas that weren't quite as crowded as other areas of the Vatican. I am thankful that we booked this tour for our family.
