I did a tour around the west coast of the US, but we only made photo stops when visiting other canyons. So I wanted to actually walk around and climb in the beautiful landscape. That's why I booked this tour from Las Vegas and I wasn't disappointed. We had great fun doing the tour and I would definitely recommend it. We chose the most difficult tour - even though I never climbed before - and it was a challenge. I could manage it but aching muscles and bruises included if you're clumsy like me. Fell down three times but the others in the group did very well. So just me. Great experience and something I wouldn't want to miss. Valley of Fire is beautiful.
Signed up for a morning hike to the Valley of Fire with Love Hikes. Traveling solo, I learned that the group that signed up to do the hike with me had cancelled. Very surprised – and so glad – that Love Hikes didn't cancel my reservation. Yvette, my guide, picked me up from the strip for a 45-minute trip to the Valley of Fire, where we made 3 stops: Mouse's Tank, White Domes and the Fire Wave. The hike is highly personalized to the guest's desired level of difficulty. Weather should definitely be a consideration – dress appropriately! I visited in January and it was below freezing when we left in the morning: my gloves and cap were life savers!
I was the only one to sign up for the early-in-the-morning intense tour and the company was still very accommodating because I could not switch to a different tour. The hike was tailored to what I wanted to do/see and we packed a lot of great sights in. My tour guide, Antonio, was very knowledgable and funny and could answer any questions I had about wildlife, plants, etc. I would highly recommend this tour!
What a great but HOT day. But Clayton is the best tour guide ever and really made the trip so much fun despite the temperatures. Both knowledgeable and funny, we got to see so many places and I got some fabulous pictures. I just didnt have enough time or room on my camera phone to take more. Go on THIS tour. Clayton does the driving. You have all the enjoyment!
This 3-Day Tour is surprisingly pleasant and offers some great tourist experiences in the southwest of the United States. Too bad we couldn't spend more time in Sedona, Az, because the views and hiking options are excellent. Might go there next time. The trip to Monument Valley was worth it. Valley of Fire was a pleasant stop on the way back to Las Vegas.
