Great fun and well organised. We had a fab guide on our boat and with 4 in a team, we felt it was the best balance for numbers on a raft without being over crowded. Met a nice couple and was the highlight of our trip to Bali. It states its an activity for all, however there are a large number of steps down and up to the river which nearly took it out of me as I'm asthmatic. 400 steps in hot weather carrying a paddle with life jacket and hard hat may not be easy for everyone. Our guide was very patient though and gave great instructions for rafting. We were all newbies at Rafting and it went vety well. Photos you can buy at the end for IDR200k for all digital copies so we did that. Food is provided afterwards as a buffet, you pay for drinks. Bring a change of clothes and shoes for sure. Towels are provided. Shower and locker on site. 1 mobile allowed per couple which is put in a drybag on the raft and taken care of by the guide. We stopped off for a few photos and for a drink too.
When I purchased this, the description said ok for all ages. When my 5yo and I arrived at the launch point, the registration form indicated that only those 7-65 years old are covered by their insurance. The owner provided confirmation to me in writing that they have a new policy that covers 5-65, but you might want to confirm that ahead of time. The safety briefing was easy to understand and just enough to feel confident. The river was interesting almost the whole way - always a little bit of rapid, with pockets of more than a little. Lunch was very good, and all of the staff was lovely. The one missing thing: a hot shower. Our day was rather shady (cloudy), and the outdoor showers were shaded by trees. So we both really wanted a good warm-up before sitting down to lunch. We rinsed lightly, and didn’t get our hair wet, because the water was plain cold and the air wasn’t warm enough for that to be comfortable.
A bit of a distance to travel to but well worth the journey! Good safetly briefing, good equipment, friendly staff, max 4 in a boat. We spent roughly 2.5 hrs on the water which was very clean & clear, experienced some low to medium rapids. Could have been more challenging but had lots of fun overall. Shower and a towel at the end plus lunch, though this was a bit cold for us. Bring some cash along for a photo if you like as well (roughly 300000 IR).
Everything was fantastic. Thanks to our guide Morris. He made the rafting experience a safe and exciting time. The only downfall is the almost 400 steps down to the river and 400 steps back up to the top. Two people in our party weren’t not able to make it down the steps. I would suggest taking a small waterproof pouch to put you camera or phone in as the scenery is breathtaking.
A great adventure, easily booked, hotel pick up on time and well organised. Guide was excellent and made for a fun, enjoyable time. Watch out for the steps at the beginning and end (400+ each way) as they are a bit of a trek, had sore legs for a day or two afterwards, but well worth it.
