What people are saying about Ubud

Excellent experience, insightful, helpful and very enjoyable

The experience started brilliantly with a tour round a local families home just outside our accommodation. The family were very welcoming and our guide Wayan Sumerta provided plenty of intriguing bit of knowledge about local families and their culture. We then travelled briefly to the start of our work, with opportunities for photos and a quick stop at Wayans beautiful home. The walk was a perfect 5km, very peaceful and beautiful walking through rice fields and local villages. Again Wayan provided excellent knowledge and information and his relaxed nature made the walk even more enjoyable. Water and a cool towel were provided which was an extra touch. Upon arriving back to the transport we headed to a coffee planation. Again very enjoyable and beautiful environment, free samples were tasted with a option to purchase more. Also opportunity for an excellent Bali swing experience. All in all an excellent half day, Wayan was outstanding, highly recommended and great value for money.

Ubud: 3-Hour Walking Tour with Lunch Reviewed by Jon, 07/29/2019

A whirlwind of excitement and dangers, thrill seekers only

What an amazing experience!! We were not expecting this! Such good value for money. The canyon was beautiful and our guide was extremely helpful/ lovely. We are two young girls who are physically fit but there were some elements of this trek that were very hard and would advise only physically able/ strong people to do this trip. Some of the rock edges were very narrow and slippery... would be good if you were an experienced rock climber! Our guide was helpful; however he had 4 people to help cross the rocks so sometimes we were left to do our own footing which was scary at times! My friend fell on the slippery rocks, she was ok, the guide helped but if you have a serious fall, there is no way out other than the climb back, however, our guide was attentive and gave my friend antiseptic cream for her cut. It’s a must do for people with the energy! we did thoroughly enjoyed it, just be prepared and wear sea shoes... we were bare feet and the stones hurt! Enjoy

The Hidden Canyon was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

The Hidden Canyon was great, but in hindsight, I am glad we did not have any small children with us. I was wonderful to be in an uncrowded part of Bali and to challenge yourself to traversing the canyon in the water. It would have been good to bring reef shoes and a surfing outfit, but it was not clear to me from the description that we would be climbing, walking and swimming in the river for about 2 hours. The guide was great, he took really good care of us, and made sure we were safe, even though it really was dangerous, especially balancing across the top of the waterfall over slippery stones at the very end (a rope may help...). The waterfall as the next stop was a complete shock with the masses of tourists, and we did not enjoy that. Lunch was very good and peaceful near the rice terraces. The 2 temples at the end were beautiful and not at all overrun, located in spectacular locations. Overall a very enjoyable day (and very sore the next day).

Learnt so much exploring Ubud with Benik. Thanks so much.

The tour with Benik was AMAZING. He picked me up promptly from my hotel and I joined a couple from the USA. Benik was so friendly and taught us loads about Balinese culture as we were exploring and driving the streets of ubud. It was great as a solo traveller to have this opportunity to learn about Ubud with others and a really informed guide. The day was fun and Benik kept us informed throughout the day to keep us happy and know what was scheduled. Benik also took great photos. Overall a great long informative but tiring day to tick off some key sights of ubud with that extra information and fun from Benik our guide. Also have the opportunity to buy gifts during the trip. Thanks Benik. Supacalifragilisticexpialadocious!!!

Chilling traditions but very thought provoking

Sintya is amazing at what she does. She is so friendly and caring. Nothing is ever too much. A very spiritual tour looking into different Balinese afterlife traditions but very informative and interesting. Lovely views on little boat to Truyan village across Lake Batur. Beautiful temple that hardly any tourists know about. One of my favourites. Sintya took me to a beautiful place for lunch with rice terrace views and an awesome jungle swing too. A superb tour, guide and satisfying day. Thank you for making me fall in love with this beautiful country. Your passion is infectious Sintya!
