What people are saying about Ubud

A wonderful way to experience this stunning landscape.

We did the 2hr cycle in early June. This was just as harvesting of the rice had recently commenced. So the lush green paddies were not so lush or green. But this was more than compensated by being amongst the busy harvesting activities. The number of local people in the paddies in conjunction with some at-times narrow paths (plus really sensitive throttles on the electric bikes) made for challenging times. There were a few spills - no major injuries since harvested rice makes for a soft (& dry) landing. Only injuries were to our dignity. Word of warning though... The lunch provided is from a private house in the fields - not a restaurant. Apply your usual cautions when eating meat (here chicken satay) where you have some doubts about its providence My wife did, I didn't. BIG mistake. It tasted great at the time... But spooled what was otherwise a great day. Best bits = the people, the scenery, insights into traditional rice growing. Worst bits = supplied lunch (exercise caution).

An exhilarating way to explore Bali culture

This bike tour was a fantastic way to explore the gorgeous rice paddy fields and villages surrounding Ubud and see real Bali life unspoilt by lots of tourists. Our guide was really informative and there were stops to view a coffee plantation (on the way in the car to the cycling starting point), rice paddy fields (not the famous Tegalalang rice terraces it must be noted), a local temple (although you couldn’t go in) and a traditional Balinese family compound. Lunch was provided at the end. My only negatives was the coffee plantation staff were quite forceful about getting you to buy things from their shop. They also kept civets in small cages (the animals whose poo creates the famous Luwak coffee) which made for uncomfortable viewing ethically and which we weren’t warned was going to be a stop on the tour pre booking. The bike seats were also not the most comfortable. Otherwise a great day out, although I’d urge the company to drop the coffee plantation stop.

A fun way to see the true countryside of Bali.

We loved the Countryside Cycling Tour. Our guide Katut was not only knowledgeable he also had a great sense of humour and was handy on the camera. Visiting the coffee plantation was an added bonus on our car ride to our destination. The cycling itself was an easy ride, mainly down hill and took us through rice fields, bamboo plantations and local villages with a stop at a village temple. It was beautiful seeing the smiling faces of the village children as they ran out to say hello as we rode past. Plenty of bottled water was supplied and we had two delicious lunches the better being at the end of our ride amongst a rice field. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get out of the hustle and bustle and see the true Bali.

Lovely and great bikingtour with very friendly people!

We absolutely loved this trip. Wayan picked us up perfectly on time and with a big smile on his face. August, our tour guide, is a amazing guide and showed us the beatiful area around Ubud. He took more then enough time for us to explain everything about families, religion, traditions or other stuff. Both the guys are very helpful and relaxed. The bikes are in good qualitily and the trip is very safe. We hope we can make you as enthusiast for this trip as we are! :)

Such a great cultural experience in Bali

We were able to see so much in a short space of time whilst exercising and having fun. Our great guide gave us easy information about temples, rice growing and life for locals in Bali. The roads were great and most of the ride downhill so not hard work. Just the right amount of riding and the lunch at the end was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
