Full description
Start your day early and meet the team that will lead you on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure through the hinterland villages of Central Dalmatia. See old Italian bunkers, breathtaking nature, and breathe in the fresh mountain air as you climb through these villages all the way to the Kozjak Mountain. The highest peak of Kozjak, St. Jure, ensures you a fantastic overview of the entire Split area. Here you will also have an excellent opportunity to take pictures and enjoy the views. Before Kozjak you will also stop to see the town of Salona and its fort.

Your route will start in the village Ninčevići - from here you'll travel along wide roads that pass under stone ridges. As you go you'll see the Italian bunkers where the Italians had fortified positions on the former border of the NDH and Italy. Continue to the eastern tip of Kozjak where you'll see the Church of St. Jure belonging to the Solin parish - this spot is your first short stop. Here, you'll get panoramic views of the city of Split, a great location to take beautiful holiday pictures. Next, you will descend to the town of Blace where you'll make a short stop in front of the “dogs” pit. Then, continue on to another viewpoint located on the cliff where you'll see the Church of St. Luke. From the cliffs, there is a fantastic view from one side of the city Split and the islands and the surrounding area, while the other side shows the eerie mountains of the Dalmatian hinterland, Dinara, Svilaja and Kamešnica.

Continue on to Vučevica and witness the life and culture of the local farmers through various vineyards, wells, and stone houses. Shortly after this, you will enjoy a visit to the village, Škopljanci, a fantastic place where you can stop and have a bite to eat as well as visit the local ethnographic museum. Head to the town of Križni and visit a monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers who died during the homeland war, and see the Church of St. George, built on the walls of prehistoric ruins and views of Malacka. Your next stop, the Biblical Garden, is a 12th century church dedicated to Our Lady of Stomorija. Visit the Church of St. Lovre and St. Mihovil, situated on the slopes of Kozjak and enjoy spectacular views of the bay of Kastela, Split, Trogir and the islands of Brac, Hvar, and Solta. After this, you will return back to the original starting point.
