Planning Your Toronto Visit

When to visit Toronto?

For the best weather, visit Toronto during summer, as the winter can be relentless. However, many people choose to plan their trip around a particular festival, as Toronto is in no short supply. Toronto International Film Festival is a huge draw, and takes place annually in August. Toronto Gay Pride spans an entire week at the end of each year - the city takes its LGBT rights seriously. Local sporting calendars and seasons are also worth consideration.

Where to stay?

Toronto has a great selection of hotels for visitors, business travelers, families and couples. Hostels are also plentiful, and a great choice for backpackers and people on a budget.

  • Best time to visit
The summer months are the best. The temperatures are warm, outdoor markets abound, and there's an endless supply of events. But that also means there are lots of crowds, and prices on accommodations and flights are much higher. If you can, try to visit at the beginning or end of the season.

What people are saying about Toronto

An excellent trip with Salvatore proving a great guide.

I can unreservedly recommend this trip. We were collected on time and from there on everything ran smoothly, with the apportionment of time between the various stops just right. Our guide Salvatore gave us a very informative commentary as well as providing useful hints which allowed us to make best use of our time. Overall great value for money.

Bernard was a fantastic driver and guide!

This trip was fun, the boat ride under the falls was the best part. The place itself a little too touristy but the falls are still beautiful. Our guide and bus driver Bernard was such a nice person and guide, he had a great sense of humor, great knowledge, and he went beyond his duties to help out when I needed to get back earlier to Toronto to catch my flight. Magically he arranged for me to go on another tourbus, and he drove me to the new departure location himself. He then followed up to check that everything went ok. Fantastic!

Well planned and executed from departure to arrival, great staff

The Tour Guide, Mr. Ziqi Li and the Driver were very informative and patient. Very hospitable and comforting to all aboard. My sister has Parkinson and Dementia, they assisted in every way possible with her walker and caring for her down and up the stairs. June 13th was my (Denise) birthday and Mr. Ziqi greeted me with a birthday wish, so thoughtful.

Complete value for a full days experience

The only negative feedback I have is that we stopped at a lovely we village for one hour, but only spent about 20 minutes at the wine tasting. Apart from that everything else was absolutely fabulous, from the bus driver to our guide who was very informative but without being over the top as some guides can be. I would highly recommended this day trip to everyone who visits Toronto.

Beautiful, interesting and very educative

The tour was on time. Navid was a weel trained guides with the history (and sometimes gossip) about every place we went. The Falls and all of the attractions at The Niagara Parks were well explained and with enough time to experience it. Great vibe on the long travel by bus. It was delightful.
